ABSTRACT In this study, a new lossless grounded simulator (GS) suitable for a capacitance multiplier is proposed. This GS realizes capacitance multiplier, simulated inductor, and frequency‐dependent negative resistor by an appropriate selection of passive components. This GS includes a minimum number of passive elements and does not require any passive component matching. The capacitance multiplier choice contains a grounded capacitor; thus, its implementation is easy in an integrated circuit process. The proposed capacitance multiplier consumes about 1.3 mW of power. The operating frequency range of the proposed capacitance multiplier for a multiplication factor of 100 extends from about 6 Hz to 2.2 MHz. A band‐pass filter as an application is given. Numerous time‐ and frequency‐domain simulations are included to verify the theory. In addition, experimental results obtained with AD 844 devices further confirm the validity of the proposed approach.
