This article explores the evolving role of nurse prescribing within these multidisciplinary teams, exploring current prescribing practices and emphasising the main professional, legal and ethical considerations of safe, person-centred prescribing. The author draws on national frameworks to consider the nurse prescriber’s role in advocating for children’s rights, managing risk and navigating systemic constraints.
