The present study examines the phenomenon of emotional burnout in clinical professors and its consequences on the health system. Emotional burnout is considered not only as an individual threat to the mental health of professors, but also as a systematic challenge in medical education and the provision of health services. This situation is associated with a decrease in the quality of teaching, a decline in clinical performance, and an increase in the tendency to leave the job, and in the long term, it can affect the efficiency of the entire health system. Considering the pivotal role of clinical professors in training specialist personnel and caring for patients, it is important to pay attention to this issue from both scientific and policy-making aspects.
