Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism Before and After Transsphenoidal Surgery for Non‐Functioning Pituitary Adenoma
Puntos clave
The study aims to evaluate the prevalence of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in patients with non-functioning pituitary adenomas and the effects of transsphenoidal surgery on recovery of the HPG axis.
Assessment of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in patients pre- and post-transsphenoidal surgery
Comparison of recovery rates between genders
Evaluation of quality of life post-surgery
Higher postoperative recovery rate of the HPG axis noted in women compared to men
Improved quality of life linked to successful hormonal recovery post-surgery
Resumen
HH is frequent in men and women with NFPA planned for TSS. Postoperative HPG axis recovery rate is higher in women and is associated with improved QoL.
