J31 Introduction Coronary bifurcation lesions are regarded as complex and their treatment is still the subject of substantial debate. Dedicated studies, data collection and outcome assessment are complicated by the existence of significant discrepancies between the various definitions, as well as the multiplicity of descriptions and classifications of lesions, partially described treatment techniques under several names and inaccurate analysis and measurement methods. The purpose of the present article is to provide a new terminology for coronary bifurcations resulting from discussions held and consensus statements issued by the European Bifurcation Club (EBC).
