Early changes in tumor size in patients treated for advanced stage nonsmall cell lung cancer do not correlate with survival

There is no evidence of a relation between early changes in tumor size and survival among patients with advanced stage NSCLC. To predict survival in patients with advanced NSCLC, response criteria other than change in lesion size are needed.
