In order to improve the parameter robustness of the model predictive control (MPC), a novel current predictive control method is proposed here. Firstly, the incremental prediction model of the permanent‐magnet synchronous motor is used to predict the current of the next instant, due to the advantage of without permanent‐magnetic flux linkage parameter. Furthermore, the disturbance‐deadbeat inductance observer (DDIO) is proposed, in which the parameter disturbance at the next instant is predicted and is used as the reference to extracted inductance information. Finally, a DDIO + MPC method is developed to improve the parameter sensitivity of the predictive control. The simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
