Erythrocyte Sodium-Lithium Countertransport Activity as a Marker of Predisposition to Hypertension and Diabetic Nephropathy in NIDDM

These data suggest that SLC strongly reflects a predisposition to hypertension and that it can be a useful marker of diabetic nephropathy in NIDDM.
