We herein report a copper-mediated, visible-light-promoted cross-coupling of aryl thianthrenium salts with (DMPU)2Zn(Rf)2 reagents for site-selective late-stage perfluoroalkylation of arenes. The protocol displays a broad substrate scope and outstanding functional-group tolerance, accommodating diverse functional moieties, heterocyclic motifs, and complex drug-derived scaffolds. This approach markedly enriches the repertoire of late-stage perfluoroalkylation methods, providing a unified, modular, and chain-length-tunable platform for the construction of perfluoroalkylated compounds with potential applications in materials science, medicinal chemistry, and agrochemical development.
