ABSTRACT: The authors weighed opportunities for making recommendations for additional imaging (RAI) more valuable. Based on narrative literature review, the authors propose the acronym “CURATERS” (Concise, Understandable, Relevant, Actionable, Timely, Evidence-based, Resource-conscious, and Standardized) to highlight concepts that could make neuroradiology RAI more valuable. We hope to encourage neuroradiologists to take a more thoughtful approach when issuing RAI, which could enhance value as perceived by our ordering providers.
