Hydrothermal Chemistry of the Copper–Triazolate System: A Microporous Metal–Organic Framework Constructed from Magnetic Cu3 (μ3‐OH) (triazolate) 32+ Building Blocks, and Related Materials

Networking with triazolate: Three new compounds containing networks of CuI or CuII ions linked by 1, 2, 4-triazolate (trz) ligands were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. The microporous metal–organic framework Cu3 (μ3-OH) (trz) 3 (OH) 2 (H2O) 4n, which is built up from magnetic triangles, forms 17×13×13 Å3 cavities (see picture; Cu dark blue, O red, N light blue, C black).
