This is a scoping review protocol registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF). The review aims to systematically map the evidence on nurse-led or nurse-implemented interventions for family caregivers of adult cancer patients, focusing on decision support, advance care planning (ACP), and communication about prognosis, care goals, values, and preferences. The review follows the JBI methodological framework for scoping reviews and the PRISMA-ScR reporting guideline. Eligibility criteria are defined using the PCC framework: Population (adult family caregivers of adult cancer patients, including bereaved caregivers); Concept (nurse-led interventions involving decision support, shared decision-making, ACP, or communication about end-of-life/future care); Context (any global healthcare, hospice, community, or home setting). Five electronic databases will be searched: PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science. Study selection will be conducted by two independent reviewers, with discrepancies resolved by a third reviewer. Data will be extracted using a standardized form, and findings will be synthesized via descriptive statistics and narrative summary. This review will identify intervention characteristics, caregiver-reported outcomes, and evidence gaps to inform future research and clinical practice.
