ABSTRACT In the two decades that have elapsed since the initial proposal of neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia of infancy (NEHI), several hundred cases have been reported and researched. However, a comprehensive analysis of research progress remains absent from the literature. The present article endeavors to evaluate the current progress of NEHI research and offer a reference for the clinical management of this condition.
