Magnitude Surveys Ltd was commissioned to assess the subsurface archaeological potential of a c. 3.4ha area of land at College on the Coast, Sizewell, Suffolk. A magnetic gradiometer survey was successfully undertaken across the survey area. Possible archaeological activity was identified in the form of a potential enclosure and ditches indicative of trackways and a ditch. Agricultural activity was identified as linear trends corresponding with the arable use of the field at the time of survey. Undetermined anomalies were also identified which may be agricultural, natural or archaeological in origin. Modern interference detected within the survey area was attributed to telegraph poles, overhead cables and a metal irrigation pipe in the north of the field.
