Consecutive adult patients from 3 Japanese hospital cohorts with standard 12-lead ECGs paired with transthoracic echocardiograms within 30 days. The development cohort included 51,278 ECGs (14.0% with LVEF ≤50%); the combined external validation cohorts included >56,000 patients.

Intervención

Deep neural network model using a derived single-lead ECG synthesized from limb leads I and II at an optimized frontal-plane angle of 210° (X(θ) = cosθ·I + sinθ·II).

Analogous 1-dimensional convolutional neural network models trained on conventional single leads (aVR, I, II) and a benchmark 12-lead model.
