Topographic survey by drone and trial trench evaluation comprising a single trench located across the line of a former mill race Wardell Armstrong LLP (WA) (Part of SLR) was commissioned by the client, Redrow Homes Ltd, to undertake an archaeological investigation comprising a programme of works including the production of a detailed topographic survey by drone, and a single evaluation trench across a mill race identified on the Tithe Map the Site north of Town Lane, Whittle Le Woods, centred at National Grid Reference (NGR): SD 358705 421285. No evidence for structural lining identified within the trench. Due to excessive vegetation at ground level the topographic drone survey results were unsuitable for interpretation.
