The Study assessed the Effect of Watershed Development Management on Environmental Sustainability in Southeast Nigeria. The specific objectives were to examine the effect of Integrated Resource Management on Environmental Sustainability and to evaluate the effect of government Interventions on Environmental Sustainability in Southeast Nigeria. A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. A structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale was used to collect data for the study. The data were then analyzed and described using descriptive statistics, and multiple regression analysis was used to evaluate hypotheses. The result revealed that Integrated Resource Management has a significant positive effect on Environmental Sustainability, with a p-value of (0.037 < 0.05), and Government interventions have a significant positive effect on Environmental Sustainability, with a p-value of (0.000 < 0.05), in Southeast Nigeria. The study concluded that Watershed Development Management has a significant positive effect on Environmental Sustainability in Southeast Nigeria. The study recommended that the government should endeavor to strengthen and institutionalize Integrated Resource Management practices across the region.
