The Inter-Eye Differences of the Circumpapillary Microvasculature in Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma
Puntos clave
This research aims to investigate the differences in microvasculature between eyes in individuals with primary open-angle glaucoma.
Compared circumpapillary microvasculature across both eyes in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma.
Analyzed the relationship between vascular changes and RNFL damage in each eye.
Identified noticeable differences in vascular pathology between the two eyes.
Observed a correlation between the level of RNFL damage and the degree of vascular changes.
Resumen
Our findings highlight a discordance in vascular pathology and structural RNFL damage between eyes in POAG, suggesting a systemic predisposition of vascular pathology in POAG.
