This study examines the geobotanical characteristics and ecosystem functions of Pirshağı Lake and its surrounding areas, located in the southern part of Azerbaijan's Absheron Peninsula. The research focuses on the Tamarixeta-Artemisietum-Alhagiosum plant formation, which plays a crucial role in the local ecosystem. The surrounding vegetation is vital for water regulation, soil conservation, and maintaining ecological balance. The impact of anthropogenic activities on vegetation productivity is also assessed, with strategies for sustainable land management proposed. The study is based on field surveys conducted in 2025 and offers recommendations for future land management practices.
