The three main IBE schemes, i.e., Boneh–Franklin, Cocks and Boneh–Gentry–Hamburg present both strengths and weaknesses. In this paper, we introduce a more efficient variant of BGH (while preserving receiver’s anonymity) based on the work of Jhanwar and Barua. More precisely, we provide the reader with a scheme with reduced complexities for encryption and decryption algorithms and present a new perspective on the initial set of solutions.
