This study aims to study the perception of college youths towards the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in teaching and learning in Thane City. With rapid technological advancement, AI-based tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and other digital learning platforms have become an integral part of students’ academic life. These tools assist students in understanding concepts, completing assignments, and enhancing overall learning efficiency. The study focuses on analysing students’ awareness, usage patterns, and opinions regarding the application of AI tools in education. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. Primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire using Google Forms, while secondary data was collected from books, research articles, journals, and online sources. The study is based on a sample size of 120 college students selected using the convenience sampling method. The findings reveal that a majority of students have a positive perception towards AI tools and believe that these tools make learning easier, faster, and more effective. However, the study also highlights that excessive dependence on AI may reduce creativity and critical thinking skills. The study concludes that Artificial Intelligence plays a significant role in modern education and, when used responsibly, can effectively enhance the teaching and learning process.
