Transparency and credibility are fundamental pillars of democratic electoral systems. In the contemporary digital era, e-governance initiatives have significantly transformed the administration of elections by enhancing accessibility, accountability, and citizen engagement. Digital platforms enable real-time dissemination of electoral information, online voter services, grievance redressal mechanisms, and public disclosure systems, thereby strengthening public trust in democratic institutions. Simultaneously, digital libraries and information centers play a critical role in promoting informed participation by providing access to authentic electoral data, policy documents, constitutional provisions, and voter awareness resources. This paper examines the interrelationship between e-governance mechanisms, digital library systems, and transparency in the electoral process in India. It explores how technology-driven governance, supported by institutional information access frameworks, contributes to credibility, inclusiveness, and democratic accountability. The study highlights the role of the Election Commission of India in implementing digital initiatives, the importance of information literacy in combating misinformation, and the challenges posed by the digital divide. The paper concludes that sustainable electoral transparency depends not only on technological innovation but also on equitable access to information and institutional support systems such as libraries.
