This report supports municipalities in developing and implementing a long-term DEI strategy that is practical, measurable and sustainable. Drawing on examples from Ghent, Genoa, Rotterdam and Leiden University of Applied Sciences, it offers a step-by-step approach to embedding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion into municipal structures, while also addressing challenges such as limited political support, fragmented action and lack of accountability.
