ABSTRACT This article presents an original curriculum for teaching the fundamentals of cultural psychology to students of religious studies and psychology, using courses based on literary and film sources. Attention is paid to the Star Trek series as a useful example and setting for teaching the psychological processes that occur when different cultures and religions meet. Thus, an educational example is presented—teaching the classic model of acculturation strategies based on the Star Trek universe.
