ABSTRACT We report the Stark broadening and shift parameters of Ti ii and Ti iii lines in the UV spectral region experimentally determined in laser-induced plasma. Two sets of measurements were performed that differ primarily in ambient pressure and target material, but also in laser focusing and emission collection in order to acquire spectra under optically thin plasma conditions and to ensure an absence of self-absorption in a wide range of plasma electron number densities. The Stark parameters of 4 Ti ii lines are determined in a 13 200–17 700 K temperature range, and the parameters of Ti iii lines in a 14 000–16 300 K range. Three of the lines have previously experimentally measured Stark width parameters, that are in good agreement with our results.
