This article comprehensively analyzes the concept of human capital from the perspective of modern social sciences, in particular sociology. Although human capital is considered as a category formed within the framework of economic theory, the article expands its content and studies its interrelation with the system of social relations, institutional environment and cultural factors. From this perspective, human capital is interpreted not only as a set of knowledge and skills, but also as a multidimensional social construct formed in the process of socialization, dependent on the distribution of resources and opportunities available in society.
