Summary statement Trait plasticity is governed by genomic and epigenetic signatures that regulate DNA accessibility, chromatin remodeling, and histone modifications. While these regulatory mechanisms have been well studied in model species, they remain unclear in non‐model plants, particularly those surviving in extreme environments. Integrative multi‐omics approaches, including ATAC‐seq, ChIP‐seq, and RNA‐seq offer powerful tools for uncovering regulatory networks that underlie adaptive plasticity, providing critical insights into how plant species sense, respond, and thrive under heterogeneous environments.
