This paper entitled “Development through Education in Zeme Naga areas under Senapati District of Manipur” is a thorough study of the impact of education on the various Developmental fronts in the Zeme Naga Areas under Senapati District of Manipur. This region of the State has been out of the lime-light of Development and Education on account of various endogenous and exogenous factors. The study analyzed the development pattern through education in the region. At the same time the study examined the hindrances for education and development in the region. Hence for the study, a sample population consisting of eleven Villages under Senapati District of Manipur were chosen. The study focused more on the social transformation of the region through education. It also highlights the trend of development, the pattern of employment, the educational status and the sociological changes. It provides suggestions for enhancing development through education so as to enable policy makers, State Government, NGOs and the public to device appropriate action plans for implementing various policies and schemes in promoting the region.
