Disaster response readiness assessment of public hospitals in Addis Ababa City, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Public referral hospitals in Addis Ababa have significant gaps in disaster management preparedness and response. A comprehensive disaster response plan, including staff training, regular restocking of medication and equipment, and functional communication networks, should be implemented in every public referral hospital. It is imperative that all stakeholders work together, including local government authorities, emergency response teams, and community members, to ensure hospitals are well-equipped to deal with disasters.
