The USGA and The R across the baseline and one iron-attenuated sensitivity, the range is 0.36 to 1.50 strokes, depending on player profile, course, and distance mapping. Fixed-rating Handicap Index effects are positive, about 0.20 to 0.97, but proxy re-rated effects range from about -0.58 to 0.52 because Course Rating and Slope absorb part of the scoring loss. In these two simulated course architectures and under these two rollback mappings, the largest gross-score effects occur for the 10-handicap profile; this is a threshold result, not a general handicap ranking. A score-preserving tee-length proxy implies shortening the 6,645-yard course by about 120--200 yards, or 1.8--3.0 percent, depending on player type and course architecture.
