Recent developments in captive trajectory systems of the ONERA Modane wind tunnels

ONERA, the French National Establishment for Aerospace Research, is operating the Captive Trajectory System technique since 1977. This technique, used to study store release, has been developed and improved continuously in order to fulfil the customers' requirements and to investigate new developments. Two Captive Trajectory Systems are operated in the Modane-Avrieux facilities. This paper presents the general arrangements of both devices, the recent improvements and simulation capabilities.
