The Use of Throughput Efficiency as a Key Performance Measure for the New Manufacturing Era

A structural framework is presented for the analysis of time productivity across supply chains both at the macro and micro level. New mapping techniques are described and illustrated through practical examples and the importance of such analysis in the new manufacturing era of time based competition is discussed.
