An historic environment assessment and historic building recording was undertaken on a former army camp of Second World War date located on a farm documented from the medieval period. The farmhouse has probable 17th-century origins, with phases of 19th- and 20th-century alterations. Although the farm may have origins as a medieval manor, no fabric of this date was identified within the farmhouse. The army camp was associated with anti-aircraft training. The majority of the buildings form a group dating to 1939, and are of generally standard forms often associated with a specific use. Two timber-framed huts may pre-date the main camp. A group of huts dating to 1943 was identified, as were post-war alterations to the layout of the camp and to individual buildings.
