Additions to the fauna of butterflies (Insecta, Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea) of the Republic of Khakassia and of the southern Krasnoyarsk Kray (South Siberia, Russia)

Here we present additional data and information about new records of Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea from the Republic of Khakassia and the southern Krasnoyarsk Kray, based on collections and observationsin 1986−2025. Five species are reported for the fauna of these regions for the first time and fifteen are reliably confirmed. In addition, we verified the presence of a number of species that were not in the Catalogue for this region, but were noted by researchers in the past. A separate task of this work was an attempt to compile the most comprehensive bibliography of scientific works concerning the diurnal butterflies of Khakassia and the southern Krasnoyarsk Kray. A common eastward range shift pattern has been observed for several nemoral butterfly species, which we attribute to the onset of another Holocene Climatic Optimum.
