Cotswold Archaeology commissioned Allen Archaeology Limited to undertake a geophysical survey using magnetometry on land at Hams Hall, Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, to support a planning application for a solar battery scheme. The geophysical survey has identified very little of archaeological interest. It has revealed a complex series of land drains, which appear to follow the topography of the site, with some draining directly off the eastern edge of the site, and other draining into a boggy/wet area towards the southeast of the site and then away via further drainage to the southeast and northeast off the site. Likely former cultivation trends are seen in the eastern half of the field, respecting a long curvilinear positive feature running roughly north to south which likely corresponds with a former parish boundary.
