Abstract

Introduction. The modern technologies of forming intercultural competence include blog and podcast among others. Purpose. The purpose of the article is the analysis of didactic materials of such blogs as DLTK’s, ProfeDeELE.es and Virtual Spanish Classroom, particulary podcasts of two recent. Methods. With the help of analyzing the tutorials of Spanish as a foreign language methodists estimate the scarcity of materials in the intercultural field. The authorese has also done the analysis of aforementionedblogs and podcasts. Results. In the methodology of foreign languages and cultures teaching there is no a standardized definition of “intercultural competence” and its components cannot be identified. Intercultural competence is based on knowledge, attitudes and skills, and it is an individual ability to realize the intercultural communication. The intercultural competence is the purpose-oriented for formation in the secondary school.The scientists see fit to form the fundamentals of intercultural competence in the primary school. Conclusion. The modern means of forming the intercultural competence on the different stages of teaching foreign language are blogs and podcasts. Their authentic audio and video materials promote the interrelated formation of intercultural, audio and audio-visual competences in users.
