The article analyzes the legal regulation of the public procurement system and its impact on the domestic economic activity of the country. The article shows the positive impact of effective legal regulation of the public procurement system, justified by the International Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as a real and effective tool for implementing scientific, technical, innovative, and socio-economic development programs of states, ensuring budget savings on a competitive basis for public procurement, as well as minimizing the shortage of certain goods and works (services) and the maintenance of a domestic manufacturer.
