Impacts of respect, support, and teamwork on hotel employees' morale in Egypt

Employees' morale plays a vital role in the success of any organization. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of some organizational variables, i.e. respect, support, and teamwork on employees' morale in Egyptian five-star hotels. From total number of 157 five-star hotels in Egypt, a random sample of 55 hotels was selected, representing 35% of the population. The results of the study revealed a significant relationship between employees' perception of respect, support, and teamwork and their morale. The findings of the study provide a clear indication that hotel management has to consider ways of improving workplace relationships by making efforts to support employees, respect their needs, and enhance teamwork in order to heighten morale.
