Education at a glance: OECD indicators

This second publication of Education at a Glance (the first came out in1992 ) covers tthe 1990/91 school year and includes a set of 38 indicators.These make it possible to examine different aspects of education policy: thelevel of investment that is supported; how the education system is financedand staffed; where important decisions are taken; what level of participation isreached; how student differentiation operates; what results are achieved inkey subjects; and student graduation rates. These indicators also help identifythe levels and types of education that lower the risk of unemployment, one ofthe major problems now affecting the OECD countries .
