Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly the solution for higher education institutions wanting streamlined administrative operations in a time when technological change and new introductions are fast-paced. This paper takes a look at the prospective changes brought about by an AI-powered administration vis-à-vis the rise of technological advances in a higher education context, from operations and the use of resources to mechanisms for decision-making specifically in Cagayan State University, Carig Campus. AI adoption could revolutionize the traditional administrative job workflows within universities and colleges, helping it provide solutions to complex challenges for the whole world’s university and college ecosystem. AI also allows institutions to automate the running of routine administrative operations, such as student enrollment, course scheduling, and financial management, among others. For instance, the automation process of some selected routine administrative operations-comprising a very wide list of activities, such as student enrollment, course scheduling, and many others-can be implemented in institutions that use AI algorithms. More so, AI-powered analytic tools help in the optimization of resource allocation in higher education institutions. AI systems can give actionable insights into trends in enrollment, performance metrics of their student body, and demographics of students. The data-driven approach, therefore, allows institutions to be efficient in resource allocation and predictive future demands that will best fit in the students’ and stakeholders’ educational programs for evolution. Besides, artificial intelligence-based decision support systems offer real-time intelligence to the administrators in the process of making informed decisions.
