An increasing number of travel, tourism, and hospitality management programs are developing and implementing online courses. Faculty and students are encountering advantages and disadvantages as they navigate the new classroom environment. It is important to realize there are common challenges associated with online teaching and yet there are many tools available to help instructors become more proficient so they can meet learning objectives and increase student success. This paper will share how three instructors collaborated and presented an interactive workshop to a sampling of faculty during which they uncovered some hindrances and revealed some of their best practices using specific tools.
