This briefing paper reports on work in progress on citizen engagement (CE) within the Governance component of the Cities Support Programme (CSP). The objectives of the workstream are to support cities to review and enhance their approaches to and instruments for engagement, with the aim of strengthening city capabilities in service delivery and management of the urban built environment.
