The objective of this paper is to determine the digital maturity lev of medium-sized companies (SMEs) as well as the identification of correlations of the relevant factors. The current state of research was reviewed to serve as a basis for the maturity model developed. The maturity model represents the `as-is' analysis of the level of digitization of SMEs as a part of an overall project titled “UsePSS” best-practise model for creating product service systems (PSS) by combining physical products and digital services. The model developed comprises six dimensions. For this paper the model was transferred in a questionnaire and applied in a survey across industries. The results of the survey are presented and discussed.
