Abstract Teachers’ attitude towards CALL is one of the important variables influencing the application of computers in the classroom. Thus there is a need to develop a scale to see how ‘friendly’ are the teachers towards the innovation. Such a scale can be used to measure variables which may have an effect on teachers’ attitude (affective) towards CALL. This paper discusses how such scale was developed. Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were used in the development of the scale to ensure its validity and reliability.
