On the Issue of Legal Obstacles to the Implementation of the Brics Supra-National Digital Currency

This article is devoted to the consideration of issues related to the emergence of the BRICS supranational digital currency. In particular, the concept of supranational currencies, the concept and features of the emission of digital currencies of central banks, as well as the practice of central banks of foreign countries in developing and implementing digital currencies in the financial system are analyzed. The author also studies the legal regulation of digital currencies in the BRICS member countries, and identifies the advantages and disadvantages of the BRICS supranational digital currency.
