A survey was conducted with parents of gifted children concerning their perceptions of their children's experiences in school. The Survey contained eight items comprised primarily of Likert style response sets. These items tapped a variety of information including parental perception of their child's scholastic needs and attitudes toward special full time schools for high ability students. Results indicated that most parents do not perceive their school's present curricula as meeting their child's intellectual needs. Further, there is substantial belief among these parents that special full time classes for high ability youngsters are needed.
