Inductors are circuit components that can convert electrical energy into magnetic energy and store it. The self-inductance coefficient is an important parameter of inductors. In this experimental teaching, the inductance was first measured by analogy with the commonly used method for measuring capacitance. Further exploration was carried out by designing measurement methods independently. It was found that the measurement results changed significantly with the variation of experimental conditions. Students put forward some hypotheses and conducted research. They discovered that the resistor box used in the experiment also has inductance, which is an easily overlooked factor. Based on this, the self-inductance correction table of the resistor box was measured and proposed as the research result of this experimental teaching.
