Some Factors Affecting the Spatial Distribution of Chicago Land Values, 1910-1960

] T is the purpose of this paper to examine the spatial distribution of Chicago land values during the last fifty years in the light of certain theoretical concepts. The classical body of land value theory, developed by such writers as Haig, Ely, Doreau, Ratcliff, and, more recently, Wendt,1 provides *the urban geographer with a number of insights concerning the spatial distribution of urban land values.
