Report on the Duke University Medical Center Private Sector Conference

Scarce resources and the increasing demand for health care services the poor and the aged are examined. Suggestions for reassessment of and Medicare are explored, as are proposals for consumers to pay more services, the creation of a multi-tiered health care delivery system, and larger role for the federal government. The costs of health care and the on teaching hospitals are also discussed. (KIE abstract)
