Nonlinear refractive index and "DC" kerr constant of liquid CSinf2/infat 10.6 µm

Resumen

The "dc" Kerr constant of CS 2 has been measured at 10. 6 μm and found to be (2. 9 0. 8) 10^-8 statvolt -2 cm. This yields a value of (2. 1 0. 7) 10^-11 statvolt -2 cm 2 for the nonlinear refractive index.
